How to shorten Your ZIPPER
How to shorten 30-40s Talon zippers.
Although, we don't think you have a large problem to take off the teeth of your 30-40s Talon zippers when you need to shorten them. We instruct here how to take off the teeth and fasten the C-style top stops on your Talon zippers.
[ How to take off the teeth. ]
Before you start to shorten your zipper, practice some times using extra part of your zipper.

1) First, cut the point of (A) by a wire cutter or any tool without damaging zip tape. (Refer to the left illustration.) It usually needs to take off teeth 1" long. The left top tooth should be higher than the right top tooth when you complete the shortening. (Refer to the left bottom image.)

2) If the cutting the tooth is done properly, the tooth will be come off naturally from the zip tape. But if the cutting the tooth is not good enough, cut it again or turn off the tooth gently from the tape by a needle nose pliers or any tool without damaging the zip tape.

The Top Stop(A) is for the left side of the zipper. And the Top Stop(B) is for the right side of the zipper. (Refer to the left image.)
Put the top stop(A) in the traces of removing the zip teeth on the code of the zip tape then press it without damaging the code.
Push the top stop(B) into the code just along the top tooth then press it without damaging the code.
