"Gold Tiger, US Model Shirts" Size Chart & Stock Information

In the 1960s, the "Gold Tiger, US Model Shirts" commissioned by the APA (Army of Pacific Procurement) from Japanese workwear manufacturers, were designed with the same sizing as regular shirts, based on neck circumference, chest circumference, and sleeve length. Please refer to the following for size selection and stock availability when ordering.

Size Selection
• Neck Circumference
Since "Gold Tiger, US Model Shirts" are typically worn with the top button unbuttoned, please consider the specified neck size as a reference only.
Note: All measurements in the size chart are actual measurements after one wash and air drying. The reason for providing measurements after washing is that we believe the measurements after washing are more helpful for cotton clothing than the measurements when new.
• Person's Chest Around
For all outerwear sizes, the basic principle is to select a size based on the wearer's chest circumference.
Note: How to measure chest circumference: Wear a T-shirt or thin undershirt, take a deep breath, and with your chest out, measure under your armpits with a measuring tape (or string if you don't have one).
• Full Length of Sleeve
Measure your own Full Length of Sleeve (the length from the center of the back of your neck, across your shoulder, along the outside of your arm, to your wrist) and select the closest size.

Washing Instructions
Please refrain from using a dryer; washing by warter and natural drying are recommended. Do not use detergents containing bleach or fluorescent agents. If using them, use only about 20% of the normal amount.
