USN adopted NAVY Aviators Winter Gloves at the same time of AAF adopted A-10 Gloves in 1938. Actually this gloves has same detail as AAF A-10 gloves such as fingers length and wool lining. However, The different between these are Body leather and Wrist specification. AAF A-10 gloves was used Goat skin on body, but NAVY Aviators Winter Gloves was used Rum skin which is softer than Goat skin. The Wrist specification was not knit as A-10 Gloves, this gloves had 1 inch mouton trimming in outside of edge and elasticity rubber band was in inside.
NAVY Aviators Winter Gloves was used with M-422A or AN-J-4, they kept NAVY Aviators form extreme cold weather.
