ABOUT ZIPPER
- A) Length of Zipper
- Zipper length is usually measured from the top edge of the top end stopper at the higher side to the bottom edge of the Retainer/End Box. Extra Tape is usually remained 1 inch(2.5cm) long. This remaining extra tape is not included Zip Length.
- 1) Top Stop
- The parts for stopping the slider at the top of the Zip Teeth. There are various shapes and types. The stopper used on the Crown 2nd Model 9.2mm width zipper was possibly the most unique shape. Refer to the image at "How to Shorten Crown 2nd #7"
- 2) Slider
- The parts for joining/separating two sides of zipper. There are various locking types such as Non-locking, Semi-Locking, Pin-Locking, Inter-Locking(Auto-Locking)...
- 3) Puller
- The parts for sliding up and down zip slider. There are various designs.
- 4) Zip Teeth
- Zip Teeth is most important parts at Zipper. There are various types such as Press Process, Die Cast, Plastic injection Process.... And there are also various teeth designs and teeth width. We indicate each teeth width at each type of description page.
Note) Teeth Width: Refer to the left bottom image.
- 5) Zip Tape
- At the edge of the tape, a cord is sewed on which is for fixing zip teeth. There are various materials, width, colors....
- 6) Insertion Pin
- Two parts of Retainer 7) and Insertion Pin 6) combine both sides of the zipper.
- 7) Retainer
- Two parts of Retainer 7) and Insertion Pin 6) combine both sides of the zipper.
