Type B-1 Flying Summer Cap, Early Model(Woven Label)•Fabric: Unique Gabardine fabric with wool for the warp and cotton for the weft.
•Sweatband: The finest pigskin, combination tanned. Pigskin is soft and breathable, and was often used for hats and caps at the time. The edges are turned 3/16 inches (about 5 mm) wide, just like the original.
Note) Refer to the photo
•Visor core material: Bakelite, which was apparently adopted because it is light and does not lose its shape, but there are very few examples of it being used in hats.
Note) Bakelite is the world's first synthetic plastic, invented by Belgian scientist Leo Baekeland in 1907. It is a phenolic resin produced by the reaction of phenol and formaldehyde.
•Woven Label: used only on early models
•AN Stamp: stamped on the bottom right of the label. The inspector's serial number is displayed below the stamp.
•Washing: The gabardine fabric and the visor core material/Bakelite are not suitable for washing with water or dry cleaning. Please consider these items as non-cleanable.
Note1 ) Please note that the gabardine fabric used for the cap has a special weaving design, so there may be slight weaving defects, just like the originals.
Note2 ) Country of Origin: Japan
