This color shade is a variation of the "Gold Tiger" camouflage pattern used during the Vietnam War. Gold Tiger is composed of four colors: the khaki of the cotton fabric, black (the source of the "Tiger" name), green (considered to offer the good camouflage effect) and the brown of the ground glimpsed through the jungle foliage. And, Gold Tiger is a prime example of the most attractive and popular camouflage patterns—collectively known as "Tiger Stripe"—that emerged during the Vietnam War.
